RULE BRETAGNE

WE LIKE TO LEARN THINGS, AND
IN THE SPIRIT OF CONTINUED EDUCATION,
(AND GRATUITIOUS IMAGE SHARING)
WE'LL CONTINUE OUR FRENCH LESSONS, AND WIND DOWN OUR TRIP.
SOME BITS OF WISDOM, A PETIT GUIDE IF YOU WILL, TO ENSURE A GRAND TIME FROM OUR LONG WEEKEND IN BRETAGNE.

1. ITS PROBABLY NOT A GOOD IDEA TO STAY UP VERY LATE THE NIGHT BEFORE YOU LEAVE, OTHERWISE YOU'LL LOOK LIKE THIS ON THE TRAIN TO THE PLANE:
(WILL WE NEVER LEARN?)

 2. DON'T WORRY TOO MUCH ABOUT STAYING CONNECTED WHILE YOU'RE GONE, THERE'S ALWAYS A PLACE TO PLUG IN, EVEN IN THE COUNTRYSIDE:

3. SOMETIMES, YOU NEED TO GET TALLER TO GET THE BEST VIEW
(ALWAYS GOOD TO HAVE FRIENDS IN HIGH PLACES)

4. THE SEA CAN CURE MOST MALADIES,

AND IF THE SALTY AIR DOESN'T WORK,
MIGHT WE SUGGEST THE LOCAL CIDER?
THIS IS A GOOD TIME TO GET IN THE GOOD WITH YOUR HOSTS,
THEY WILL PROBABLY LIKE YOU MORE IF THE BOOZE IS FLOWING.

5. IF YOU RUN OUT OF GAS WHILE TAKING A TOUR ON THE MOTO,

YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO PUSH.

OR BETTER YET, YOU CAN PUSH, AND WE'LL PICK FLOWERS.
C'EST NE PAS GRAVE.

6. SOMETIMES, YOU NEED TO GET DOWN AND DIRTY WITH WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE

7. TAKE FASHION TIPS FROM THE LOCALS.
(CHAIN MAIL AND ARMOUR ARE HUGE FOR FALL)

8. MAKE SURE THE FRIGE IS WELL STOCKED, FRENCH STYLE.
(PLEASE NOTE THE VAST QUANTITIES OF YOGURT)

9. DONT GET TOO LOST IN THE ENCHANTED FOREST
(WE LIKE TO USE THE BUDDY SYSTEM)

10. JUST BECAUSE ITS OLDER THAN DIRT AND FULL OF HOLES,
A HOUSE OR BRIDGE IS NOT USELESS,
BUT MAKES FOR A RATHER GHOSTLY RELIC OF WHAT CAME BEFORE

11. FIDDLEHEAD FERNS MAKE A DELIGHTFUL ADDITION TO ANY APERO,

THOUGH YOU MAY NEED TO SHARE THE SPACE WITH A SEASHELL STRINGING STATION.

12. WHEN DEALING WITH THE FRENCH,
(AND IN GENERAL MATTERS OF DIPLOMACY)

RETREAT TO THE  KITCHEN AND BAKE SOMETHING,

EVERYONE LIKES CAKE,

AND WARM SWEETS ARE AN INTERNATIONAL ICE BREAKER.
13.  AND IF YOUR CAKE STINKS,
AND YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT EVERYONE IS SAYING,
SMILE AND NOD,
YOU'RE IN BRITTANY DAMMIT, AND THE SUN IS SHINING.

14. WHICH BRINGS US TO THE NEXT POINT,
ABOUT MAKING THE MOST OF THE SUN, SO YOU MUST DEJEUNER OUTSIDE SUR L'HERBE
15. ALL THAT EATING IS PRETTY TIRING, SO FEEL FREE TO TAKE A NAP.
ITS NOT RUDE, ITS FRANCE.

16. IF MADAME ET MONSIEUR GO OUT FOR THE EVENING,
AND  AFTER MUCH CONTROVERSY YOU DECIDE NOT TO DINE IN THE SALLE A MANGER,
(MAJORITY RULES)

YOU'D BETTER MAKE THE KITCHEN FANCY,
BECAUSE DETAILS MATTER.

17. THATS ENOUGH LEARNING.
ITS TIME FOR A DRINK.
(YOU'RE WELCOME)
