SO LAST SATURDAY WE BOARDED A VERY EARLY FLIGHT WITH A VERY HAZY HEAD AND LEFT LONDON FOR A LITTLE ADVENTURING.
WE FOUND OURSELVES THAT AFTERNOON, DINING ON A GREAT LAWN, FULL OF SUNSHINE,
AT A VERY OLD HOUSE MADE OF VERY OLD STONE.
IT EVEN HAD A PALM TREE:
BUT SEEING AS THIS WAS FRENCHIE TERRITORY, IF IT WASN'T CHOCOLATE OR CHEESE IT WAS PROBABLY MEAT OR BREAD.
AND WITH A VERY FULL BELLY WE WERE TAKEN BY THE HAND TO SEE ANOTHER PILE OF ROCKS, EVEN OLDER THAN THE AFOREMENTIONED HOUSE.
WE COULDN'T REALLY DECIDE WHICH WAS MORE DIVINE,
THE LIGHT
THE CONTRAST OF A FOAMING SEA AND SKY
OR THE TERRA COTTA AND COCOA STRIPES OF VOLCANIC ROCK
WE WERE IMPRESSED.
AND WE THOUGHT OF MAMAN, WHO LOVES A GOOD ROCK. UNFORTUNATELY, THESE WERE A LITTLE TOO BIG TO TAKE HOME.
SORRY MOMS.
TO GREET THESE FEATS OF NATURE,
WE WORE OUR ALIX OF BOHEMIA
WHEN YOU SEE BIG THINGS GOD MADE, ITS NICE TO WHACK ON A DRESS, YOU KNOW?
THEN IT WAS TIME TO EXPLORE A PINK GRANITE COAST
WITH GREAT ROUNDED ROCK FORMATIONS
AND WHILE WE'RE IN THE PINK, LETS TAKE IN SOME SHADES OF MER FOR DESSERT
OH WE HAVE MISSED YOU, SWEET MER
LOW TIDE:
WE EVEN HAD OUR OWN LITTLE PAPARAZZO FOLLOWING US IN SOME VERY SMALL PALE PINK CULOTTES:
AND THEN IT WAS ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE. BUT NOT BEFORE KICKING OFF OUR SHOES AND WADING OUT TO SEE SAINT GUIREC
YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO PUT A NEEDLE IN HIS WORN AWAY NOSE
ACCORDING TO THE LEGEND.
SEE? THIS IS WHY WE ARE ALWAYS CARRYING SUPPLIES. NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU'RE GOING TO NEED A BIT OF NEEDLE AND THREAD.
EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO SHOVE IT IN SOME SAINT'S NOSE, YOU'RE PROBABLY GOING TO WANT TO MAKE A NECKLACE FROM THE SEASHELLS YOU FOUND ON THE PLAGE.
BUT THATS PART OF THE NEXT STORY.
