DOG BLOG

MAYBE WE'VE BEEN IN ENGLAND TOO LONG,
WE ARE STARTING TO PREFER DOGS TO PEOPLE,
(THATS HOW YOU KNOW YOU'RE REALLY ENGLISH).
SO FOR SOME HOMEMADE GIFT GIVING,
WE PUT OUR BRUSHES TO PAPER TO IMMORTALISE OUR CANINE FAMILY MEMBERS:
MOCHI
(PROFESSOR PUP)

AND JASPER [FEATHERBOTTOM]

THE DOG BABIES ARE GENERALLY REGARDED AS THE SECOND COMING IN THESE PARTS, (HOW APPROPRIATE GIVEN THE SEASON) AND SO IT ONLY MADE SENSE TO IMMORTALISE THEM THROUGH PORTRAITURE FOR LA FAMIGLIA.
MAYBE IF THIS WHOLE BOHEMIAN CLOTHING SHTICK DOESN'T WORK OUT FOR US, THERE'S A FUTURE FOR US IN DOGGIE DRAWINGS.

WE'LL MAKE ONE FOR YOU TOO, IF YOU ASK SUPER NICELY.
TO INQUIRE FOR YOUR OWN DOG BABY PORTRAIT, GO HERE.

INK AND WATERCOLOUR DRAWINGS OF MOCHI AND JASPER RESPECTIVELY, BY OUR OWN BOHEMIAN HANDS

COUNTRY CHRISTMAS

A WEDDING IN LONDON MEANT WE WERE A LITTLE LATE IN COMING HOME THIS YEAR.
SO WE MISSED THE WHOLE TREE CUTTING RITUAL.
LUCKILY, WE GOT A LITTLE VIDEO OF THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE
JUST THE THING TO GET US IN THE SPIRIT:

WE ARRIVED IN THE COUNTRY IN THE NICK OF TIME FOR CHRISTMAS EVE
(WE HAD A NIGHTMARE ABOUT SPENDING CHRISTMAS IN NEWARK AIRPORT, BUT LUCKILY THE GODS SAW US THROUGH, ALL THE WAY TO SNOWY CAZENOVIA)

WE KNOW WHERE WE BELONG.
WE DOVE RIGHT IN
DONNING SANTA PYJAMAS

EACH YEAR THE MINX OUTDOES HIMSELF WHEN IT COMES TO GINGERBREAD ARCHITECTURE.
THIS YEAR, AN INDUSTRIAL SHOP LIGHT WAS INSERTED TO LIGHT UP THOSE RED GLAZED WINDOWS.
IT WAS VERY BRIGHT:
AND THE BUCHE DE NOEL:
NOTE THE COSMOPOLITAN IN THE BACKGROUND, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED WHEN ASSEMBLING THE BUCHE.
WE GORGED OURSELVES LIKE PIGLETS, OF COURSE

MAMAN LOOKING GLAM IN COGNAC COLOURED LEATHER
(YOU GOTTA DRESS UP WHEN JESUS GETS BORN)
THE BOYS, THE BUCHE AND CANNOLI
THE BEAUTIFUL DOODLE
 AND THE DOG BABIES TOO.
JASPER SAYS
I LOVE YOU, MERRY CHRISTMAS, PLEASE CAN I HAVE SOME MORE?

OH, VALENTINO

OVER THE WEEKEND WE DECIDED TO GET INTO THE SPIRIT OF THE SEASON.
SO,
WE HEADED TO SOMERSET HOUSE,
NOT FOR THE ICE SKATING, NO.
WE WERE THERE FOR A MASTER CLASS:
HELLO, VALENTINO
THE EMPEROR AND HIS CLOTHES

WE WERE MADE A BIT BREATHLESS BY THE WHOLE DISPLAY
SO MUCH SO THAT MAYBE WE IGNORED THE NO PHOTO RULE
AND JUST COVERTLY SNAPPED A FEW
AS WE KNEW WE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO REMEMBER ALL THE BEAUTY
OBVIOUSLY, WE WILL BE NEEDED THIS WHITE HOODED CAPE FOR CHRISTMAS

WANT TO EAT THIS SMOCKING DETAIL FOR BREAKFAST

HEMS AND CUFFS THAT RECALL RUFFLING SEAFORMS

IT WAS ALL VERY OVERWHELMING
AND WE REALISE WHAT A LUXURY TIME IS
DISREGARDING THE HOURS THAT PASS IN PURSUIT OF SOMETHING TRULY SUBLIME, WITH PAINSTAKING ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
TAKING TIME TO MAKE SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL BY HAND,
AND WE WISH WE HAD MORE OF IT.
(MORE TIME PLEASE)
PARTICULARLY AS WE HAVEN'T STARTED CHRISTMAS SHOPPING YET.
HAPPY MONDAY PARTY PEOPLE, ET BRAVO VALENTINO.
