MARKETING

SHALL WE GO THIS? SAID CONSTANCE.
THERE'S A SMALL CHANCE, SHE CONTINUED,
THAT 'VINTAGE' DOESN'T MEAN 'POLYESTER'

AND GO WE DID. CONSTANCE  AND I STARTING WITH SOME ACID CHIFFON AND A SUPER COOL NEON PUCCI MINI, AND QUICKLY MOVING ON TO FALL IN LOVE WITH A CZECHOSLOVAKIAN JEWELED HEADDRESS, HEADGEAR OF JOY:
A TANGERINE CHIFFON BEADED DRESS FROM THE TWENTIES MATERIALIZED.
IT WAS HEAVIER THAN CONSTANCE HERSELF, BUT THE FABRIC WAS AS DELICATE AS TISSUE.
NATURALLY WE GRAVITATED TOWARD THE ETHNIC CORNER;
EVERY TIME SOMETHING CROCHET, EMBROIDERED OR EMBELLISHED WOULD MATERIALIZE, WE WOULD GASP AND SHOW IT TO CONSTANCE FOR APPROVAL, WHO WOULD JUST LAUGH. APPARENTLY WE ARE VERY PREDICTABLE, AND SHE IS AVERY PATIENT WOMAN.
BUT THERE WAS NO REASONING TO BE DONE WHEN WE STUMBLED UPON A SECTION OF EMBROIDERED GOODS FROM HUNGARY AND UZBEKISTAN.
HAPPY AS A PIG IN MUD.
FOR HEADS UP ON FUTURE FAIRS, GO HERE.
