HEY SUNSHINE: Fouché in Greece

First listen, so we can get you in the mood while you scroll through our morning musings:

We seem to remember there was a time in London when it was HOT HOT HOT.
On one of those afternoons when it was Hotter than Hades, we were hunched over the iron, sewing in our underwear,
(clothes are a luxury sometimes),
we reached for the Hawaiian print and sewed up this elasticated two piece number,
which we decided to call CHIQUITA BANANA,
for obvious reasons.
Here she is:

When we recovered from the aforementioned heatstroke, we realised there's only one character who can pull off such a look. Her name's Fouché,and you've seen her here before. Here's that lucky little duck representing Bohemia middrift dreams in Mykonos:
little island gypsy spirit,
with a touch of the Masai round her delicate neck
(as one does, when sporting Hawaiian print)

Only Fouché can get away with being so artsy and dramatic and oh-so effortlessly glamorous.
this is called crucifix chic in Greece:

ALIX of BOHEMIA Chiquita elasticated two piece cotton number.
its a skirt and a crop top and if you're still savoring sun in your neck of the woods, we'll happily make one for you too,
and we won't even be jealous of you.
DROP A LINE VALENTINE, WE LOVE IT WHEN YOU SAY HOWDY.

Us with Fouché, both in Bohemian playsuits.

Happy Friday Cowboys and Cowgirls.

THE BANDWAGON

Sometimes, we're slow.
As in, we're ten steps behind the rest of the world when it comes to technology.
In fact, that word is kind of dirty to us.
It doesn't sound romantic or bohemian and we like to pretend we don't need screens or modern machines.

That being said, last week, after TWO waterbottles leaked in our bag TWO days in a row, our trusty little mobile phone drowned at the bottom of our gypsy sac, in a sea of Badoit bubbles.
Sometimes you have to get over yourself and your distain for things that are actually useful. Sometimes you have to throw money at problems.
And we totally caved and officially became the last person in the world to get on the iphone train.

And that means, of course, we got on the Instagram train, and have since wasted many hours exploring filters and living vicariously through pictures and shamelessly snapping what we're eating, wearing, buying and seeing. And we learned what a hashtag is. Its making us feel thoroughly Modern like Milly.
Indulge us if you will?
We saw some Fuzzy pink tops on Columbia Road
#thinkpink
We befriended a pug, our a new studio companion
#puglife
We had cold white wine with some stylish shoes #maisongalet

We met a very big dog.
#drinksinchiswick
We got kind of dreamy in the park, fingering thistles in an Old Hat.
#wistfulthistle

Our mostly muse came back from Kenya bearing gifts from the Masai
#betterthanchristmas
Toile and ikat joy for Fall.
#fabricpornography
We caught up with darling Ella, in from Hong Kong.
#bedhead

We wore a paisley bathrobe out and about.

And documented a Friday feast we made of Branzino with lardons, fennel and preserved lemons.
#goodfriday

We wore indigo polka dots and drew on ourselves
#standardroutine

 More fabrics.
#addiction

And the always fabulous Victoria sent us a snap of her in an ALIX of BOHEMIA orange linen Arancia Dress at sea.

We learned a few things this week:
1. Do not put a waterbottle in your bag if the top is not screwed tight.(And certainly don't do that twice)
2. Technology (The i-phone) can be our friend.
3. We probably take too many photos of ourselves in weird outfits and hats.

PLACES: JUST BREATHE

Sometimes city life starts to wear on our bohemian bodies.
We get tired of tearing through Soho and Shepards Bush in big stomping boots like maniacs, looking for fabrics and ribbons and strings and things.
We we were in total bohemian burnout mode.
And just as we were about to collapse from complete city exhaustion, Joanne called and told us to get our ass in gear and on the train.
(She's bossy like that, in the best possible way)
Knowing what to expect from our favourite Hong Kong Lady, we grabbed a bottle, a book and a toothbrush and hopped on the country bandwagon.

Our state was pretty dire:

And we were reunited and given just the tonic for this City Malady.
It was pink, and we drank it with ice cubes:

After medicine was distrubuted, we were greeted by the best cook in the world, from the other side of the world,
who fed us quiche and a salad made of flowers

We knew what to expect from the Old Rectory, as we'd been so kindly invited as guests before,
but we'd managed to forget how incredibly cosy, and beautiful, and relaxing this charming home was.
Effortless integration of Eastern and Western objets.
Its kind of how we imagine real grown ups live.

Some headgear and some notable bohemian nobles

And after you've had a moment to digest,
(both lunch and your surroundings)
its time for walkies.

And before we crack out the rosé again
we're going to play some croquet.
Because thats the other thing you do in the country,
aside from walkies and lunching and drinking rosé.

we get totally schooled in the art of flower crown making.
Have we met our match or what?
The capable hands of Devon, our new muse, who crafted those beautiful crowns:
And now that we're all dressed up, you can guess what time it is:

TEDDIE SHORTS in Big Wave with Rouge
make and appearance with Joanne and the pink wine.

Darling John, the other half of the host couple.
An amazing sport he was, the only male, flanked by a gaggle of girls.
We think he's particularly refined with his hair and cigar and his dogs.

The perfect prescription,
A perfect weekend.
And we are oh-so refreshed and restored by girl power and fresh air.
Hey Monday, all good.
