PAINTING ON WALLS

While we find grooming and personal maitenance beyond the most tedious of tasks (which is why we avoid it at all costs), we are happy as clams to grab a brush and give a facelift to STUDIO PANIER.
its even more fun if you wear a paisley robe while you paint the floor with shades of butter.
We hit the ground, because we're pretty comfortable being bottom dwellers.
Fouché starts on the cabinet, Tiffany blue.
After sufficiently coating ourselves in paint, we decide we need a little decoration, a little dress up.
And we find an antique French Panel to duplicate and each take a side,
(because we're in stuff together)
and paint the wall shades of jade and chartreuse against a turquoise backsplash.
All of this against the background of Lou Doillon's newest album, which we are listening to on repeat, repeat.
Fouch é 's Fresco Fantastic:
A colour palatte which is totally channeling our grandparent's house in Palm Beach. In the best possible way, of course. Who doesn't love a 70's mint moment?
Why are we getting all fancy?
We're opening a shop, for real.
Get in touch Buttercup, to land yourself on the list.
Glowing green.

PLACES: JUST BREATHE
Sometimes city life starts to wear on our bohemian bodies.
We get tired of tearing through Soho and Shepards Bush in big stomping boots like maniacs, looking for fabrics and ribbons and strings and things.
We we were in total bohemian burnout mode.
And just as we were about to collapse from complete city exhaustion, Joanne called and told us to get our ass in gear and on the train.
(She's bossy like that, in the best possible way)
Knowing what to expect from our favourite Hong Kong Lady, we grabbed a bottle, a book and a toothbrush and hopped on the country bandwagon.
Our state was pretty dire:
And we were reunited and given just the tonic for this City Malady.
It was pink, and we drank it with ice cubes:
After medicine was distrubuted, we were greeted by the best cook in the world, from the other side of the world,
who fed us quiche and a salad made of flowers
but we'd managed to forget how incredibly cosy, and beautiful, and relaxing this charming home was.
Effortless integration of Eastern and Western objets.
Its kind of how we imagine real grown ups live.
Some headgear and some notable bohemian nobles
And after you've had a moment to digest,
(both lunch and your surroundings)
its time for walkies.
And before we crack out the rosé again
we're going to play some croquet.
Because thats the other thing you do in the country,
aside from walkies and lunching and drinking rosé.
we get totally schooled in the art of flower crown making.
Have we met our match or what?
The capable hands of Devon, our new muse, who crafted those beautiful crowns:
And now that we're all dressed up, you can guess what time it is:
TEDDIE SHORTS in Big Wave with Rouge
make and appearance with Joanne and the pink wine.
Darling John, the other half of the host couple.
An amazing sport he was, the only male, flanked by a gaggle of girls.
We think he's particularly refined with his hair and cigar and his dogs.
The perfect prescription,
A perfect weekend.
And we are oh-so refreshed and restored by girl power and fresh air.
Hey Monday, all good.

GOING VOGUE
So VOGUE calls us the other week and says,
'Hey Alix & Claire,
want to come to our office and sell your wares?'
and we were like,
'Yea, O.K., we will travel there'
and off we went to Hanover Square:
(How we got past the front door, we'll never know)

And after we left VOGUE house,
(though the surroundings were very pretty, it was a little hard to breathe up there, to be honest)
we trotted down Jermyn Street with the remains of our sweet TEDDIES in our baskets.
And even though we were running pretty low on the things, we bagged ourselves some new customers on the street.
And can you blame them for being enchanted?
We would buy pretty much anything if Fouché told us to.
(we think its the hair, so brilliantly blonde)
Rupert chose a Red Liberty print Teddie
For his darling wife,
(though he would be dashing in them too, we are sure)
We're hustling Vogue House and the gentlemen of Jermyn Street-
better watch out, you're next to get your bottom into Teddies bambino.
